All requests for assistance from the NAAWP Florida Chapter Inc. Inc. will be considered using the following guidelines on a case by case basis. Individuals or groups who contact or are referred to NAAWP Florida Chapter Inc. should be advised that NAAWP Florida Chapter Inc. will within financial and geographical constaints, assist them but will not do it for them. No committment will be made for financial or physical aid except as determined by the president of NAAWP Florida Chapter Inc. his designee, or the Board of Directors acting in concert. It is of paramount importance that witnesses, documentation, either written, photographically, or audio recordings be noted. Stress the fact that telephone conversations cannot be recorded without the approval of all parties unless it is done with court or police approval. Record dates times, and places. Note if the activity appears to be a pattern or has happened more than once to similiar people. Confer with sympathetic co-workers, neighbors,family and acquaintences. Again, notes and recorded data is very important and will be a big determining factor as far as legal counsel is concerned. Finding an equitable solution to a grievance is not to soothe anger or get revenge but rather to obtain and maintain justice. NAAWP Florida Chapter Inc. will attempt to help persons or groups who request assistance, who appear to have a bona fide grieveance, to arrange an initial consultation with a civil rights attorney. Based on the decisions and recommendations of this attorney consultation, futher assistance and guidance to the requestor may be made by NAAWP Florida Chapter Inc.
